DISCLAIMER AGREEMENT and PARENT PERMISSION
The LAN Party (The Event), its organizers (Game Master Inc i.e. GMI, Sponsors), members
and staff cannot and will not be held liable for any/all damage or injury to participants' equipment or person while traveling to/from the event or (the Event Location). This includes but is not limited to their time at the event, their time at the event location before, during, or after the event, and/or any time in transit to or from the event or event location. The owners and operators of the event location are herby released, in addition to the event organizers, members, and staff, from any/all liability and/or claims with respect to damage to person or property. Participants' equipment and personal safety and/or health and well-being are their sole, personal responsibility.
Further, GMI cannot and will not be held responsible for any game or intellectual property piracy occurring before, during, or after the event. It cannot and will not be GMI's responsibilities to monitor machines and network traffic in search of such activity or behavior. Software/game/program piracy is illegal and it needs to be understood that participants are responsible for the software/games/programs that are in their machines before, during, and after the event. Pirating
software, games, programs, or other items of intellectual property is not condoned or supported. Participants are asked and encouraged to have anti-virus software and current definitions installed and active at the event.
The viewing of pornographic material is prohibited at the event and all GMI events. Understand that if caught viewing or making available pornographic materials to minors during the event, participants will be reprimanded and further action taken if necessary. Be advised that the making of pornographic materials available to minors is illegal.
If a virus or other malicious code becomes available in the 'wild' on the LAN due to this event, know that the GMI will cooperate with the federal, state, and local authorities with respect to giving information that they might request in order to locate the individual or individuals who created/carried such virus or malicious code. If a participant is determined to be
one of the individuals or sole individual responsible for the virus code or codes exposure to the LAN, that participant will be asked to run a current system virus scan and will not be allowed to continue to participate until the virus is removed. Participants may be barred from attending future GMI events until such time as the virus or malicious code is removed from their machine or as seen fit by the event organizers and staff.
If any participant conducts his or herself in a way that violates the rules and regulations as established by GMI, they will be revimanded and further action taken if necessary. Included among those types of behavior that are not acceptable are those activities deemed disruptive or destructive in nature, and those that are disturbing to other gamers. These rules
have been listed on the GMI website (www.gamemasterinc.com). and will be posted at the event. However, the inappropriateness of actions/behavior will be determined on an individual basis, and event organizers or staff will make the final decisions as to the degree of action necessary to correct the situation. Should a participant be asked to leave the event at any time because of their conduct or behavior, their entrance fee will not be refunded.
By attending a GMI event, each participant implicitly grants GMI and its sponsors' rights to use their image, likeness, and name for the purpose of promoting future LAN events and gaming products.

For those 13-17 years of age, this completed, signed form must be on file or updated based on any changes to the law. No admittance under 13 years of age. (Rating statement) |
